I was the sole designer involved in the creation of a magazine for a foreign embassy that had a strict thirty-day deadline for design, printing, approval, and mailing. They needed me to not only design the layout that would deliver on their expectations within the limits of their budget, but they also relied on me to independently source high-quality images that enhanced the narrative of the text they provided. Additionally, they expected me to help provide proofing and editing advice on the body copy of the articles they provided since many of the authors were distinguished writers but had learned English as a second language.
